About

WELCOME!

Hey beautiful!! I’m Sarah and welcome to A Well Travelled Beauty! Where I share my knowledge I have gathered over the past fifteen years working in the spa industry along with my travel adventures and a quest to live a more sustainable and balanced life. While I hope this blog will encourage you to make time for more wellness in your life, a health and fitness blog this is not! I promise no pictures of me doing yoga in a bikini! (believe me, no one wants to see that..) There also might be some rants about how much I hate running… and how much I love wine!

I’ve been working in the spa industry since I was seventeen. My part-time weekend job turned into a lifelong passion and career and I have since managed spas for the Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons and Fairmont hotels. My beauty obsession started from a very young age, I remember trying to make perfume from rose petals and face masks from various baking ingredients much to the delight of my mother… Since then I have soaked up every bit of information relating to beauty and spa that I can get my hands on and I’m now delighted to share it with you.

My work experience and obsession with beauty products and treatments mean  I take my recommendations very seriously. Anything I do recommend I have researched in depth, used it for a significant amount of time and will always be completely honest in my review. Now somethings that I love won’t work for everyone and vice a versa, if something doesn’t work for me it might be perfect for you. I am very anti-animal testing and I will not recommend anything to the best of my knowledge that has been tested on animals. Unfortunately, products that are sold in China have to be tested on animals. So this means a lot of the big brands are not cruelty-free 🙁   But it also means I have an excuse to try out lots of new products 🙂

Travel has always been a big part of my life and I have been lucky enough to have visited and lived in some incredible countries from Australia to Azerbaijan and staying in accommodation with no electricity to five-star suites. I think you can guess which one I prefer!  But there is still so much I need to see and do and I don’t think that hunger will be satisfied anytime soon.

I am now very excited to be combining my two passions by creating a range of specialised wellness packages for the boutique travel agency Fleewinter and I’m sharing my reviews as I visit my selected spas.
